How we can help

What can we do to help?

Prayer Requests
1. For unity and vision in the national church and wisdom for the leadership of the church.
2. For the paperwork for the sale of the old guesthouse and the purchase of the new conference center to go through soon.
3. For the salvation of those in our studies.
4. For the details for the DNA “Vision Conference” details to be worked out. (Mark is on the planning committee for this Guadalajara March conference that is nationwide and interdenominational.)

It is 80 degrees today. Hard to believe when just a couple of weeks ago it actually snowed here. The weather in Saltillo is definitely different than what it was in Honduras. We want to thank you for your prayers. Let me just share some praises for this month.

First of all, the money for the WOW house (conference center) has come in! The owners are planning on being here in order to sign the papers on March 2nd. Please pray that everything will be in place for the signing of the papers.
Along with the purchase of the house is the answer to prayer that we have a buyer for the old property. Our only problem there is the paperwork. Pray that all of the paperwork comes through and that the purchasers are able to sell their old house soon.

The first week of February we were able to meet with the others on the Latin America leadership team for DNA (Discipling Nations Alliance). Not only was it great to see David and Debbie Hawk (longtime friends and co-workers from Honduras) but it was also encouraging to hear what all God is doing throughout Latin America. The meeting resulted in Mark and I having more work as we help in the planning of a teacher training meeting taking place in Panama in December. Speaking of DNA, continue to pray for the vision conference being held in Guadalajara in mid-March. Mark is leading the planning committee. We are expecting around 100 leaders from different denominations in many different states of Mexico. It will be an exciting time to grow both unity and vision.

I wish you could have joined us last Saturday. Our day started early as we headed to Monterrey with Sandra (a PETE student from Matehuala), Pastor Ulises (the teacher for the class) and Juan Pablo (one of Ulises’ church members). The class was on church planting and the students learned from not only the pastor but also from each other. From there we returned home to prepare for the Valentine’s Day banquet for the married couples in our church. Barbecued steak is always a favorite and it didn’t disappoint this time. The evening ended with the men presenting a rose to their wives and lots of photos being taken.

Please pray for us this weekend as we have the youth coming over Friday evening and then I teach an 8 hour class on Sanctification and Ethics on Saturday morning. We love this group of youth and see so much potential for them. They were in charge of the service on Sunday and it went so well. Pray that they will remain true to God.
Thanks again for your prayers.
